How Magnetism Works for Health and Nature
Magnetism is an invisible force that impacts both our health and the environment in surprising ways. From supporting the body’s natural healing processes to enhancing water structure, magnetic energy has far-reaching effects on life. Below you can read the science behind magnetism, its influence on health, and how it affects elements as fundamental as water, providing a natural boost to wellness.
Magnetized Water
Magnetized water is water whose structure is organized under the influence of a magnetic field. The salts and trace elements within it align similarly to those found in natural spring water.
Our planet is fundamentally a massive magnet, so we can assume that all water in open, natural sources is magnetized. Why does spring water taste much ‘fresher’ than tap or bottled water? And why do we feel much better after swimming in natural bodies of water?
This is all connected to the influence of the Earth’s magnetic field on water, and consequently, on humans.
You can prepare magnetized water yourself with a water magnet, magnetized coaster, or magnetic systems for larger quantities, such as watering cans and water tanks. Check our water magnetizing solutions here.
Numerous studies, primarily by Russian scientists, have shown that regular use of magnetized water for cooking and drinking lowers blood cholesterol, reduces blood pressure, improves metabolism, and brings about various positive effects on the function of internal organs, the nervous system, and the cardiovascular system.
The “Magnatura” device for water magnetization is a natural geomagnetic magnet with a strength of 1,330 gauss or 133 microteslas, with the north pole of the magnet clearly marked.
The vibration it emits within its range (in our case, a glass jug with a capacity of 1-5 liters) initiates a process of alignment with the opposite magnetic pole, or the Earth’s opposite pole. The magnetic currents created in this way closely approximate the strength of the Earth’s magnetic field, which pulsates at an average frequency of 7.5 hertz.
Earth’s Magnetic Field and Its Effects on Health and Orientation
The Earth’s magnetic field not only shields us from cosmic radiation but also supports our well-being. Space research has shown what happens when we are not exposed to the Earth’s magnetic field for extended periods. Russian cosmonauts displayed symptoms of osteoporosis and depression—known as “space sickness”—upon returning from space. Adding artificial magnetic fields to spaceships has significantly reduced these symptoms.
The impact of Earth’s magnetic field on all aspects of life is exemplified by the Schumann resonance, a wave that arises from resonant oscillations in the spherical cavity between the Earth’s surface and the lower boundary of the ionosphere. This wave, with frequencies from 8 to 10 Hz, resonates with the Earth’s atmosphere, as 8 to 10 Hz is also the frequency of the Earth’s magnetic field. This resonant effect enables these waves to propagate unimpeded around the Earth during electric discharges.
The Earth’s magnetic field aids in navigation: it guides bacteria, migratory birds, turtles, bees, and whales, while ants, beetles, and termites use it to find their way back to their nests. Homing pigeons have tiny crystals of magnetite in their beaks, acting as an internal compass. Similarly, humans can find their way using the Earth’s magnetic field; tiny magnetic particles in our inner ear may help us orient ourselves in places like deserts.
While the influence of the Earth’s magnetic field on our health is not yet fully researched, it appears to be invaluable.
Research, sources and extras
The concept of “water memory” underpins an entire branch of alternative medicine—homeopathy.
Records from Egypt indicate that magnetic therapy was practiced over 5,000 years ago. Graphic depictions on walls, columns, and temples confirm the use of magnetotherapy. Cleopatra is also said to have worn a magnetic amulet to preserve her beauty and youth.
The “Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine” (China, 2000 BCE) is the first written evidence suggesting that imbalances in the human body could be corrected using magnetic stones placed on acupuncture points and meridians.
In Japan, over 30 million people use various magnetic products, all approved by Japan’s Ministry of Health. Japan ranks first globally in life expectancy, partially due to the continual clinical use of magnetotherapy throughout their lives.

Effect of Magnetic Fields on Water
The magnetic field enriches water with oxygen. When this water enters our body, it releases its energy charge, triggering various reactions within the body.
The physicochemical basis of the effect of a constant magnetic field on water involves arranging the structure of its molecules around large hydrophobic molecules and colloids.
Magnetized water and other liquids acquire a homogeneous structure, with improved fluidity and solubility. Magnetic treatment of water systems increases the solubility of inorganic salts by a factor of ten (for MgSO4, by a factor of 120!).
Electromagnetic Fields on Earth
To better understand this phenomenon, it’s useful to have a more detailed knowledge of the effects of magnetic fields on the human body:
Pulsating magnetic fields, with one exception, are artificially created electromagnetic fields.
The exception is our Earth. The Earth can be imagined as a gigantic magnet with its own north and south poles. The Earth’s magnetic poles are not located exactly at the geographic poles; their location shifts slightly from day to day. Currently, the magnetic south pole is about a thousand kilometers away from the geographic north pole. The polarity of the Earth’s magnetic field is far from static; in the last ten million years, it has reversed direction at least ten times.
The Earth’s magnetic field is an electromagnetic field, likely caused by electric currents within the Earth, dependent on varying densities of Earth’s mineral masses in its core. This effect, called the geodynamo, arises because these different densities move at different speeds and rub against each other, creating electric currents. These currents, in turn, generate a large, though weak, magnetic field. Measurements have shown that, as with all magnets, the Earth’s magnetic field is strongest at the poles and weakest at the equator—a phenomenon first proven by Alexander von Humboldt. The density of currents (field strength) in the Earth’s magnetic field averages 0.5 gauss or 50 microteslas, with 0.7 gauss at the poles and only 0.3 gauss at the equator.
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION:
:Magnetized water (LIVING WATER) is water whose structure has been reconstructed to align with the structure of spring water, where all the elements contained in the water (minerals, salts, etc.) align along magnetic field lines, similar to water from natural sources. It is known that planet
Earth is a strong magnet, magnetizing water in rivers, lakes, and other natural sources with its magnetic field. This is why, in summer, people often prefer swimming in rivers and lakes over pools, and why spring water tastes better and quenches thirst more effectively.
Since the 1960s, extensive research on the benefits of magnetized water has been ongoing. Historical records suggest that Cleopatra, seeking to maintain her youthful appearance and skin vitality, frequently visited underground caves with magnetized water.
Studies have shown that magnetized water exhibits the following characteristics:
- Increased oxygen content due to the magnetic field
- Higher activity of hydrogen ions
- Minimal effect on the mineral content of the water
- Reduced nitrogen dissolved in the water
- Increased number of crystallization centers in the water
BENEFITS OF DRINKING MAGNETIZED WATER (MAGNETOTHERAPY):
Magnetized water (magnetotherapy) proves highly effective in the prevention and treatment of various ailments. Here are the benefits of drinking magnetized water:
- Boosts immunity and strengthens the immune system
- Lowers cholesterol levels in the blood
- Balances cholesterol metabolism in atherosclerosis and positively affects disease progression
- Regulates blood pressure
- Accelerates metabolism
- Prevents the formation of gallstones and kidney stones, dissolving and eliminating smaller stones and sand from the gallbladder and kidneys
- Enhances digestion
- Promotes the healing of eczema, dermatitis, and other skin conditions
- Stimulates the removal of dental tartar, eliminating periodontal diseases
